Why is "anitarobertson" written on top of all your products? This is called a "watermark," and it is a device used by artists and photographers on the Internet to prevent unauthorized downloading and printing of their artwork. This watermark will not appear on your order.

Is your calligraphy all done by hand? I do the original piece by hand; however, unless it is a commissioned custom piece, my originals are reproduced in one of two ways: - 4-color offset prints on a large printing press
- giclees

What is a giclee? The Definition: Giclee (zhee-KLAY) - This French word means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The Term: The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high-resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art paper, and photo-base paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction. The Process: Giclee prints are created typically using professional 8-color to 12-color ink-jet printers. Among the manufacturers of these printers are vanguards such as Epson, MacDermid Colorspan and Hewlett-Packard. These modern technology printers are capable of producing incredibly detailed prints for both the fine art and photographic markets. We use an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 professional wide desktop printer with 8-channel print head technology and Chromacolor K-3 archival ink with a life expectancy of 75 - 100 years. Our prints are scanned in using an Epson Expression 10000XL graphic arts scanner and printed on archival paper.
Giclee prints are now found in the finest galleries. Reputable museums around the world, including the Louvre, New York's Metropolitan Museum, and the Guggenheim, display Giclees as part of their collections.
I am not an artist worthy of the Guggenheim; however, I think you deserve to have an art print that will last as long as you do.

What type of materials do you use in matting and framing? Not only do we use archival ink and paper for our prints, but we use Crescent Select matboard, which is archival quality. We also finish it out with acid-free backing or foam core. We complete every one of our pieces with a dust cover unless it is a piece that has a photo opening in it. You will need to bend up the framing staples to insert the photo.

Can I order a mat or frame that is different than what is shown? Yes, if you see a mat or frame on another piece, you may substitute it. You will need to email us from our "Contact Us" page. In the event of a great difference in cost between what you have requested and what we normally put on a piece, there may need to be a price adjustment. There will also be a delay in shipping of 10-14 days.

How long does a custom order take? That is difficult to answer. It depends on the season and the difficulty of the piece. We try to ship custom pieces within 4 weeks of the order and stay in touch with you to let you know of any possible delays.
